Deborah Cooper
Deborah is a Partner and Head of the Board Services and Financial Services Practices.

She brings depth and breadth to her sector experience and diverse corporate knowledge having worked with the FTSE100, challenger brands and start-ups/fintechs. Deborah has strong relationships with clients, candidates, regulators and other key stakeholders which is critical in highly dynamic environments and markets undergoing major change. She advises Boards in the recruitment of Non-Executives (including Chairman and Chairs of Risk and Audit) and is experienced in appointing CEOs, MDs and C-Suite executives across a variety of functional leadership roles.

Previously, Deborah worked with international search firms Heidrick and Struggles and Norman Broadbent and boutiques The Miles Partnership and Warren Partners.

Deborah has an MSc Marketing from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc Organisation Studies. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Marcus is a Partner and leads the Government and Not for Profit practice.

Marcus has worked with a broad range of government clients on the appointment of senior figures from the private sector in finance, industry, infrastructure and commercial disciplines. He has led the recruitment of over 200 senior level hires into management roles within the UK Government.

A former Senior Civil Servant with a career in HR in Crown Commercial Service and latterly Cabinet Office, Marcus has a deep understanding of recruiting into Government. He uses this to the benefit of clients and candidates alike and has an outstanding track record of designing and delivering engaging and successful senior hiring solutions.

Tina Stainton
Tina Stainton
Tina is Head of Operations and Delivery.

Tina provides operational leadership and works with Heads of Research to develop best practice delivery processes. Within the Public Sector Practice, she has worked with the Civil Service on appointments of senior figures from the private sector in finance, infrastructure. IT and commercial functions into roles across departments including Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCO, DfE, HMRC and Cabinet Office. Tina has also worked on senior appointments within the Higher Education sector.

Tina graduated from University of Leeds and holds a BA English (1st) and MA English and Theatre (Dist) and had an earlier career in FMCG marketing and product development.

Richard Simmonds
Richard Simmonds
Richard is a Partner and Head of the Industrial Practice.

He has a wealth of experience across the industrial market, delivering senior level search assignments across the infrastructure, construction, services, aviation and manufacturing sectors.

An established recruitment professional with over 15 years’ experience, Richard’s career began in the Royal Navy, where he flew the Lynx helicopter in the Fleet Air Arm completing a number of tours of duty around the world.
Upon completion of his military service, Richard joined UBS and worked for a further 6 years as a fixed-income trader specialising in the Australian and New Zealand government and corporate markets.

After banking he joined a boutique search firm, focusing on the Property, Construction and Engineering sectors, where he became a Director, leading on professional services within these sectors.

Richard then moved to Korn Ferry, where he has been Managing Consultant for the Professional Search business.

Richard holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Wolverhampton, is an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights and a Freeman of the City of London.

He has partnered with a wide range of organisations including: Lakeland Retail, The Kellogg Company, PepsiCo, National Nuclear Laboratory, ASDA, Co-operative Bank, Boots, London Underground, United Utilities, Shop Direct and VW Group. Recognition for this has included awards in HR Excellence, CIPD and Personnel Today and the coveted Employer Brand of the Year award for his work with The Kellogg Company.

He has a strong track record of building enduring client and candidate relationships. Chris is particularly skilled at working with clients to identify gold-standard functional and general management leadership that bring best-practice thinking from outside of the clients industry and sector.

Much of his work today is focused on clients who are creating new business models, driving their digital agenda and building new leadership capabilities to grow and compete effectively.
