Pivotal to the growth of the business was its ability to anticipate & respond to changing consumer preferences, to enter new markets & build scale in new segments. The client identified a clear & scalable opportunity in Italy in partnership with a major Italian businesses
Client Requirement
The client needed to appoint a Managing Director with exceptional knowledge & experience of the Italian beverage business, coupled with the strong strategic planning & business development skills. Equally important was the ability to work & influence effectively in a global business. It would be important that the candidate could operate both autonomy & also with the complexities associated with building strategic partnerships
Our Approach & Strategy
First we established which leading FTSE Head of Investor Relations had the characteristics described above. We then confidently took standings from some key investors. This led us to a small group of ideal candidates who we met to develop our shortlist
Outcome
The client appointed an existing GM in Italy from the food industry who had previously established several joint ventures in Eastern Europe
